Supervisors; Prof Michelle Waycott, Dr Ed Biffin, Dr Tim Hammer.
Project supported by ABRS grant (4-H3JJX0F) to Waycott and McDougall.

Topic: The evolution of Australian Drosera with an emphasis on the tuberous clade. Approach includes phylogenomics, phytogeographic and population analysis of extant populations.
Supervisors; Prof Michelle Waycott, Dr John Conran.
Project supported by ARC Discovery grant (DP190101676) “Coevolution of sundew bugs and sundews” to Cassis, Waycott, Conran,  Hochuli, Laffan, Murphy, Biffin.

Frances E. Guard

PhD (part-time) in the School of Agriculture & Environmental Science, University of Southern Queensland.
Topic: Investigations of the taxonomy, ecology, pathogenicity and bioactive properties of Eastern Australian Marasmius (Marasmiaceae: Agaricales). Integration of ecological, morphological, molecular and culture data to support description of new species, revision of supposedly global species, increase understanding of the ecology, interactions (pathogens or endophytes?), and bioactive properties of these important rotters.
Supervisors: Assoc. Prof. Dr John Dearnaley, Dr Teresa Lebel.
Project supported by an ASBS Hansjörg Eichler Scientific Research Grant (2021).

Amelia-Grace Boxshall

PhD (part-time) in the School of BioSciences, The University of Melbourne.
Topic: Phylogenetic investigation of Agaricus (Basidiomycota: Agaricales) biodiversity across eastern Australasia.   Integrate ecological, morphological, and molecular data to estimate the relationships of eastern Australasian Agaricus within a global framework and assess the diversity of species, estimate the divergence dates of Australasian clades, establish accurate taxonomic boundaries within the Agaricus xanthodermus species complex using diverse arrays technology (DArT), and assess the monophyly of the A. austrovinaceus complex.
Supervisors: Dr Joanne Birch, Dr Teresa Lebel.
Project supported by an ABRS grant (4-EHOJ161) to Lebel, Birch and Boxshall.
