E.M. Davison, D. Giustiniano & J.F. Haska, Amanita austrostraminea (Agaricales, Amanitaceae), a variable species from southern Australia (2.7mb PDF).
The authors analyse two similar species of Amanita from Western Australia and South Australia with molecular and morphological methods. They come to the conclusion that this is only one variable species and synonymise the name A. flaviphylla with A. austrostraminea.
This paper is the last publication of Prof. Elaine Davison and was completed in the days before her death. She was a highly regarded plant pathologist and mycologist in Western Australia. Throughout her 50+ years of teaching and research, she was an inspiration to all scientists she engaged with, providing mentorship and sharing her knowledge and expertise, even after retirement.
D. Nicolle, Formal transfer of four residual species from Corymbia to Eucalyptus (Myrtaceae) (0.1mb PDF).
The author from the Currency Creek Arboretum publishes four new combinations in the genus Eucalyptus, to make these names available for people who want to use a single-concept of the genus, i.e. including Angophora, Corymbia and the recently-published Blakella.
