Today, 31 Mar. 2026, the State Herbarium of South Australia published the following paper in Vol. 39 of its scientific journal Swainsona.
Hislop, M., Ten new species of Styphelia (Ericaceae: Epacridoideae: Styphelieae), mostly from inland districts of south-west Australia, with updated descriptions for S. breviflora, S. conchifolia and S. multiflora, and a provisional key to species currently assigned to Group X. (11mb PDF).
In this article, the author from the Western Australian Herbarium continues his revision of taxa assigned to Group X of the genus Styphelia. Three existing species are re-circumscribed and ten species are described as new. Illustrations and photographs are included, as well as a Key to the whole Group X, which is the most morphologically diverse and one of the largest of the 12 phylogenetic groups in the genus.
