Images from the 2014 Vital Attributes Study

I have temporarily created this page on the Herbarium’s blog to provide a list of images taken of specimens selected by you during your prac (and supplemented the week following by Andrea). There are two versions of each image, a full resolution one (these are around 14 Mb each) and one at 20% of full resolution (around 1 Mb each) — the smaller one is probably still too detailed for a full-specimen image for your report, see how you go. If you want to illustrate a particular feature (e.g. flowering part) you might grab a smaller selection from the full resolution versions.

The files names include the AD-code (the barcode) of the specimen imaged (in case you were seeking one specimen in particular) and those images with the trailing “_20” are the reduced resolution files.

Note these files are not being served in the ‘google-maps fashion’ I might have mentioned with regard to the Global Plants project, they are just jpeg images which you can download to your computer.
